Communion Prep Helpers Needed

Community Meal Volunteers

With the influx of meals being made and delivered for the Thursday night Community Meal, the kitchen is in need of volunteers! They are in need of volunteers to help with meal prep from 1:00-3:00 pm on Wednesdays. Volunteers on Thursdays are needed from 2:00-4:00 pm and 4:00-6:00 pm to help with meal prep, pack, clean-up, and to deliver meals. Interested in helping with the Community Meal?

Volunteer-Led Prison Ministry

Are you interested in doing prison ministry at the Plainfield prisons? Men and women are needed as singers, instrumentalists, teachers, Bible Study facilitators, and mentors. Instruction and orientation are provided and if you're interested or have questions, contact David Verhonik at 317.828.1949.

Threads of Joy Workdays

Threads of Joy is offering two opportunities for those wanting to learn how to use a sewing machine! The sessions will be held on Monday, April 15 and April 29, 9:30 am-2:00 pm in Room 212. You will learn straight-stitching by creating children's tote bags that will be taken to Grand Goave, Haiti. Please bring your machine (if you have one), manual, bobbin, and neutral or dark thread, but machines will be provided if you do not have one. For more information, contact Marcia Morgan at 317.838.3035 or at [email protected].


Threads of Joy is also in need of boy's short sleeve shirts, sizes 12 months to size 16 to be given with their handmade boy's shorts. Donations for new or gently used shirts can be placed in Room 212 or in the Lifeline donations box.
